I guess it's my CRS coming out again. It's H--L getting old.
The number I mentioned as my VIN number was actually the motor number on the title.

My Red Book says there were 254,690 Chevrolets assembled at Tarrytown
thru August of 1955 which was the total for Tarrytown for the 1955 model.

My Vin # which is on the plate attached to the driver door is VC0301799T55Z. I think V means it was a 8 cyl.,C means it was a Bel Air,0301799???,T means it was built in Tarrytown,55 means it was a 195 ... |

I have a complete ( I think ) 55 Chevy heater ( 2 thing a ma jig's ) that I got back when I had my A/C installed. Any DACC member that would like it can have it at no charge.
