I guess this is a strange question but is there a proper location for seat belts? I am installing in my '57 and the buckles are on the door side. I have seen some pictures with both inside & outside location.
Personal preference??

For safty mount them outside the seat with a 35-45 angle. Use a 3" washer under the body. Do not mount them to the seat bolt. Get washer from Jegs or summit. Might give Stoked Out a call to confirm.

Might be wrong but I think Classic Chevy Int'l did a great article on this sometime ago. PARR Automotive 1-800-654-6779 out of OK City sells everything you need and they're very reasonable. I just got their new catalog, page 131: anchors, hardware, seat belt retractors, etc. I've been buying stuff from them for years. Quality guys. Classic Chevy Int'l (www.ClassicChevy.com)catalog p.94 has everything also with a good selection of seat belt colors. Happy Trails to you, Ed
