I need to transport a complete drivetrain. I am having trouble locating a rental truck equipped to offload the engine into my garage. Does anyone have a referral or a recommendation how to do this? Thanks. Please call Frank @ 972-473-2276

I would call Michael at Keith Craft in Plano 972-578-3550 they might do it or know someone. They do stuff like tat all the time tell him Tom McGee ( the Actor with the 55) gave you the number. If that does not work call Summit Racing they are nice. Look on Afb.com they move big things.

Frank, are you trying to off load a motor from a truck, or are you shipping a motor ? Not sure what your needing ... ? if you are trying to receive a engine shipped by freight your going to need a delivery truck with a lift gate and pallet jack to get it off... otherwise you may have to go to the dock and have it loaded by forklift into a pickup and man handled from there to your garage ..

David, I am purchasing a complete drivetrain locally and need to pick it up and deliver it to my garage. Everything can be unloaded by hand except, of course, the engine which is on a stand. Frank

Tom, thanks for the referral. As you recommended, I called Michael at Keith Craft Motorsports and his suggestion was to rent a half ton pickup and an engine hoist and that should get the job done. That is a simple enough solution. I don't know where I got the notion that a truck with an attached hoist was available. Must have been in a previous life.

If you are offering the loan of your engine hoist, I really appreciate it. I am in West Plano. Where are you located? I am aiming for friday or saturday of this week. Frank

I just have a work stand. I don't have a lift, I should get one. If you need the stand to work on the motor come and get it.
