Well my driver Newphew, Blake, won his baseball game Sunday, plus he knocked out a home run for his team. Much better than I did at I-35 Denton on Sunday!
Blake, his dad Mark, and I linked up in Grapevine after our I-35 Denton race and his game Sunday PM for dinner. We are all really pumped about another event involving Tri 5's on the dragstrip. Thanks to all especially David Graves. This event was too cool. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |

Oh Yes,
The next race of the Muscle Car Club Challenge is Sunday 18 September 2005, at Kennedale's Texas Raceway. 1/8th mile dragstrip. This a Texas landmark dragstrip. I raced there back in the late 70's with my '56 when it was a 1/5th mile back then just reduced from a 1/4th mile.
The slower class cars should like this dragstrip. It's up-close and tight. The spectators will drool on your car.
The really fast cars need to drive slow on their first pass. The turn around at the end came from something like Six Flags. Reminds me of a 5g 180 degree turn in an aircraft if you are too fast
Mark your calendars.
Of course we can practice at any strip between now and then. Perhaps a practice session can be set before then. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |
