Hello,

I'm a new member to the DACC and need some help finding
resources.

I'm building a '56 150 2 dr and just got a Nova 12 bolt posi for
it. I want to have all the seals replaced, C-clip eliminators, and the posi checked out.

Who would you recommend locally to rebuild this rear end? I would like
to do it myself but should probably leave it to the experts.

I'm in the Collin County area.

I have had several jobs done by Standard Transmission of Forth Worth including 3 rear end jobs. They are reliable and reasonable priced. I know they aren't real close but I believe they are worth the drive. They also stand behind their work. They put in a new ring and pinion in my 10 bolt, but the positracton started making noise and they rebuilt again it for nothing. A word abut C clip elminators, they are not really intended for the street. This comes from Moser Engineering. I recently installed a pair of Moser axles in my car and wanted to get the C clip eliminators, but the guy told me not to do it as I stated above. So I just put in the strong axles. I have a 12 bolt in aonther car and I had it narrowed and, at the same time, he welded on the Ford type housing ends so I can use axles that do not have C clips. Welding on new housing ends is the best way to get rid of the C clips.
