Let's get a plan going for the next TMCCC drag race at the big 1/4 mile Texas MotorPlex drag race track near Ennis. I'm planning. Can anyone bring a simple BBQ type cooker with fuel? The rest of us will bring the viddles. Gates open early at 08:00 so first one there please save a few spots as is customary in the past. Also for those needing testing; the Crandall, Tx Dallas Raceway 1/4 mile track is open Sunday, 6 September at 12:00 (Noon Sunday). I'll be there testing my 283/270 set-up albeit without the BBQ thingy. To make this more inviting, hopefully most will have the next day off work as it is Labor Day Holiday.
Tom

This is wife & mother-in-law birthday but i plan on being there AND if everything works right I plan on bringing a brisket, fully cooked, smoked and ready to eat. Just add bread & ??? and we'll cut out the cooking time!

I have a small grill to heat the meat.
confirm next week (when I tell D of my plans..)

New carb kit, new gears, axle bearings, new wheel bearings (tonite)and I think I'm ready and tired.

Has anyone heard from Dennis G. and some of his TriFive friends/club members?
On a subject change I learned a lot last Sunday afternoon at Crandall's IHRA Dallas Raceway track when testing my 57 on their 1/4 mile. Unfortunately the 283/270 set-up is still not tuned. Albeit the E.T.'s are down to 12.60's with all the insane tricks in place to get it there, which I really don't like.
To all: Let's stay in touch regarding the Sunday event planning. Thanks.

I think Dennis is a lurker, but I feel he will be there ..

I will bring plates, napkins, forks, potato salad

can someone bring drinks?

and Tom, just run consistent and you will be in the final round! 12.60's or 19.60's - it doesn't matter!!

At what point are the races cancelled due to weather or do you show up and wait for the decision to be made?

if it is raining they will cancel just as we did for the car show, but .. if there is a break in the rain (and there may be come race time) they can run, with paved pits and the track dryer it can happen .. so it's just wait and see for now .. if anyone gets word one way or the other - post it here so we all know ..
