David, I have a friend that I work wth that builds engines as a hobby. He has the complete set up that I can get Monday at work. You could possibly contact him earlier if you need sooner. He is located in the area of Hot August Nights Fort Worth, Richalnd Hills. |

Somewhere in my tool box, I have a homemade piston stop. I used it when building the engines for my '57 and the Stude. There is realy nothing to them, they are easy to make. Larry |

thanks guys .. I actually did just that, made one from a old spark plug .. my '55 that has sit idle for 25 years fired for the first time a few weeks ago, and today with ALOT of help from a bud we got the 4 - two barrell carbs all synced up and running as one, needless to say I have been overjoyed with hearing this thing run after sitting so long, plans are to build it for some drag racing and maybe a little running to the burger joint every now and then but primarily this will be a strip car .. Ford 9 incher is in the future with a pocket kit rear spring relocation, 350 60 over with a Turbo 400 is in front of the rear, the T400 is likely going to need work, won't know for a while as the car isn't rolling yet but hope to sometime after Jan 1st if all goes well ...
here's a current picture, it's apart as I have a leaky freeze plug (guess that's what sitting for 25 years will do) so I am doing them all except the back of the block but will do that when I pull the tranny ..
