Just a quick thank you. You work so hard and do so many nice things for the club. I think you have been doing it so long sometimes we take you for granted. If their was an award for most enthusiastic tri five world member you would get it hands down. Thank you again.

I second that motion. David definetly is the driving force behind this great organization. We are very fortunate to have him as president.

I to want to thank you David for all you hard work. DACC would not be what it is today without you.

P.s. I listened to a web casted of your radio guest spot Friday night, you did a great job! I'm glad you guys talked about how the host did the PA at the Motorplex because, I could not remember where I had listened to the his voice before.

I'd like to jump on this thread. David was first introduced to me in 1987 at the club's drag race event at the new Texas MotorPlex. I was not a member back then but all the same he let me run my Tri-Five car in the club's elimination drag event. David is a first class fellow amoungst us TriFive lovers. Most really don't know how lucky this club is to have him as a principal leader and visionary. DACC is very fortunate to have him leading their team today. I offer my thanks too. Thanks Pal.

wow.. Tom, Marvin, Alan and Tom .. thanks for the very kind words ..

I will admit, I enjoy cars, I especially enjoy Tri Five Chevys - blame my Dad for that since he bought a '55 new and promptly made a hot rod of it and raced at Caddo Mills (and a few Dallas streets likely) 'back in the day' and I enjoy spending time with the people associated with these cars, and guys and gals like all of you who enjoy their cars (like I do) makes it all worth the effort when we get together for a car show, go race our cars, or just spend a day driving the backroads, but I am far from the only one that makes our club work so well ..

this boat is paddled by all of you that are members and I am paddling as well but maybe I am steering some as we go, the simple task of being a member and paying your dues is a big part of our success, then if that member can attend an event or two every year that just makes it that much better, some members are able to attend and participate alot more but it all feeds up to our club being perhaps the largest exclusive Tri Five club in the country and one of the largest car clubs (regardless of make) in Texas, but regardless of size I think we are one of the most successful and have the most fun with our cars as a group!

while you guys are giving me alot of credit, it's certainly not all deserved as we have so many members who volunteer and give time to club related things during the year and it's everyone's cumulative efforts that make our club so much fun to be a part.. there is no doubt that the car hobby is alot more enjoyable when you can get together with others who have the same passions and we are all lucky to have such a great group of people who have that passion for '55'-'57 Chevys and chose to belong to our club and work towards similar goals ..

looking ahead, it's folks like Tom McGee, Loren Baxter, Bryan Greenfield, Robert Conkle - all you younger guys and gals that will need to step up in the future and keep this thing going - I've be involved since this deal started in 1976 and it scares the heck out of me looking back realizing how long I and some others around here have been doing this and at some point the wand will be passed!

Hummm, I think you guys have said everything I could think of and I certainly agree. I was a member then became a sponsor and from the get go it was easy to see that David not only preformed but you could just feel that he really cared for this club and the membership. Not being in the local area I don't get to see what goes on at all the events but the times I have been with the DACC I can see many members doing the best for the club and it seems I see the Preston's at everything and everywhere Very Happy the DACC is a great group made up of great people.
