Hopefully this will be a good thing for Reliable and DACC !

From Automotive News -

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett plans to buy the Van Tuyl Group of car dealerships and move its headquarters to Dallas.

The new group will be called Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, Buffett said.

Van Tuyl, the fifth largest dealership group in the U.S. with annual revenue of more than $8 billion, owns 75 dealerships, mostly in Texas, Florida and California. It is currently based in Phoenix.

More than a third of its stores – at least 29 – are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Among its holdings in the area are Grand Prairie Ford, Grapevine Ford, Crest Cadillac, Stonebriar Chevrolet, Toyota of Richardson, Reliable Chevrolet and Trophy Nissan.

The privately held group will continue to be run by Larry Van Tuyl, son of group founder Cecil Van Tuyl.

Reliable is a great sponsor for the club. They also, gave me employee pricing for my 2009 truck. I hope the change of ownership is to far removed to have an effect on our fantastic relationship.
