Plan to join '55-'57 Chevy enthusiasts from all over the state for the 33rd Lone Star Classic Chevy Convention on May 15-17 in San Antonio! The DACC will caravan down on Friday May 15, returning Sunday May 17 after enjoying what should be a great time in the Alamo City! If you plan to join us for the caravan, be sure to let us know by posting here or send a email to info@DallasClassicChevy.com. Complete details about the event can be found at www.LoneStarChevys.com and the DACC plans are outlined in the April and May club newsletters. HOPE TO SEE YOU IN SAN ANTONIO!

David, what route are you taking through the metroplex to get to 281? I'll join up with you someplace farther South.

Our route looks like this...
Our drive down will be a laid back leisurely trip that will take us down Central Expressway to Woodall Rogers (north side of Downtown) which will get us over to I-35E then South to Hwy 67 then on to Hwy 281 through some beautiful parts of Texas before arriving in San Antonio (avoiding Interstate 35). There will be stops in Cleburne for gas/restroom break, stop at Hamilton for lunch at Wenzel Lonestar Meat, then a stop at Marble Falls for world famous homemade pie at the Blue Bonnet Café and then we should arrive into San Antonio around 4:30pm (give or take – we aren’t on a schedule!)

I'll join the caravan at the Cleburne pit stop. Do you know where that will be, yet?

There is a Valero gas station at the corner of Hwy 67 and 174 (Main Street). That is our first stop. Marked on map below.
