04 8983 9T55Y. Does this look right. It is on the pasenger side in front of the head. What is it?

The first 7 digets is the number of the block. The T stands for the Tonawanda plant. 55 is the year and Y is for a power glide transmission.
The Mortec numbers are casting numbers found behind the drivers side head on the block.

Alan, that's the serial # that's stamped in the block just in front of the passenger side head. I found the info in Danchuk's catalog.

Thank you. I have a few questions about the 265. Can I get a cam for it? Does anyone work on those heads? I don't need 400+hp just 250-300. One last thing how much cfm or hp will 5/16 fule line take? Anything other than junking the 265 would help. I need more money.
