I've been searching on the internet all over the country for my next "ride". I would like to look/buy closer to home (D/FW), but I haven't been able to find an internet site around here like the ones in Iowa, North Dakota, Ohio, etc. Am I missing the "best local site"?

FYI 55 - 63 chevys, any model.

I not sure if you have been to the usual suspects but here is my list:

http://www.ebay.com
http://www.hemmings.com

All of the sites have things different about their search capabilities. My recommendation is keep your criteria as wide as possible. When I was looking for my truck I found entries under truck, pickup, 3100, 1/2 ton and many more.

Your list is included in my search. With the exception of Hemmings, the others you listed seem to prefer newer (post 1979) cars. I'll give them another try.

and on Ebay, go to Ebay Motors, then to the Collector Car 'theme', there you can do a search and get it down pretty close to what you might be looking for...
