I'm hoping to test Friday night, for the first time this season. Not sure where just yet. Either I-35 Denton or the MotorPlex.
Also hoping to get my brother to test his 55 Chevy Friday PM. He's interested in the MotorPlex race but not committed yet. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |

Race day at TMCC at Ennis
I spun the tires bad on the first run but had great run the next 4. No bogging or tire spin. Ennis is a ΒΌ-mile track and I ran a new ET record for me at 14.375 and a reaction time record of .096. I won 3 out of 5 races. We had a 23 mile per hour wind at 100 degrees, with the nose of the car being 0 degrees. The average temperature was 66 degrees.
They had scales and my car weighed with me in it 3820 lbs. With a 96.77 top end speed calculated against my car's weight on paper, my horsepower was pulling 321HP contrary to the dyno challange's 222 HP.
Tom's engine with new cylinder heads showed a vast power increase. He pulls the front wheels a good 3 to 4 inches. He suspects the higher compression from the new heads made for ignition problems that I'll let Tom give more details. _________________ Texas Classic Chevy Experience
