Put a set of the Fesler hood hinges on my stock hood 56 about 3 years ago. At first the pistons worked as they should, then they would only work in warm weather and nor not at all. Will not hold the hood open. Contacted Fesler but received no answer or fix. Is there a fix or a source for new pistons that are stronger. I see no leakage of any sort. Hinges are too pretty to throw away. Shame they don't work as they should Thanks in advance

Is there a name or number on the struts? I'm sure Fesler used a production strut that was also used on other applications. I can't believe they can't supply parts for their products.
