I am nearing the end of this LONG build on my 56 Belair 2-door hardtop and have run into an issue with the fit of the trim that goes from back window over the top of the side windows to the A pillar along the headliner. I bought this car and found when it delivered, there was no headliner or interior trim but appeared to have all the trim pieces in the trunk. The ones that came with the car appear to be shorter than they need to be and leave a 1/2" gap at the front and a 3/4" gap at the back. The ones I have are 58" long (end-to-end) and the opening they need to cover is 59".

Can anybody help me figure out if these are for some other model or year and/or if the 59" opening is what it should be for this car? I would attach pictures but have not figured out how to do that!

Any help or pointers is always appreciated,

Larry

I found out that the 56 Belair Sport Coupe and the 56 210 2-door hardtop use different trim components for the "sail" panel on the exterior of the C pillar and the dogled on the inside of that same location.

I sourced the correct parts from Mike Domoracki (thechevydr@newbc.rr.com).

I think this is one of my last hurdles on this build but nothing will surprise me!
