This past Sunday it was TMCCC drag race day at Kennedale's, Texas Raceway. This was a rescheduled race from last May due to earlier foul weather reschedule. I came across Marvin Cowden and James Carson. Marvin recording details/assisting and James running his '57. I was there still attempting to show the world I could get a 283/270hp carb set-up to run powerfully-right in this era on an old 350 CID iron block motor in my '56 sedan delivery. It was a warm day with no over-heating problems for anyone. I recorded 89-96F through the event. All racers were upbeat and attempting to shave off the start light to the minimum for wins. Neither James nor I made the finals but we went home with the intention to return in the September 2011 fall event at the MotorPlex. I should add we garnered some new friends that took a fancy to team DACC's energy for the car hobby. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |
