No - I am not in Detroit tonight...but did make it to Motown during the week to see a preview of this years Woodward Dream Cruise. I have to report it is going to be bigger and better than last year - every city within the 16 miles of the Woodward Strip is officially recognizing the cruise, Chevrolet is official sponsor and in a big way, and weather has been outstanding with prediction for Saturday perfect (low 50, hi 74, sunny). Who wants a Vette - GM is going to give away a pristine 1958 Corvette (245HP, 4sp, number match, 2 top, rare Regal Turquoise). The Michigan Monte Gras of Muscle Cars officially starts Saturday morning - prediction is over 1Million spectators and 40,000 hot rods, street machines, kustoms, classics, sports cars, race cars and of course Tri-Fives! During the short time I was there saw every body style of 55-57 car, truck, and Corvette - in stock, modified, and super modified...and in several colors... Did see the new Viper - uh, wow! If anyone went from the club this year - have fun! Stephen still after me to drive the 55 to Woodward - maybe next year, its only two hard days drive...and it is cool enough up there to cruise comfortably without air conditioning... Cool

That is great. Another item for my bucket list.

Jan and I just left Detroit after spending one week there with the Street Rodder Mqgazine Tour, seeing many car museums and taking many cruises down Woodward. It is absolutely amazing. Plus, the weather was great, highs in the 70's. Unfortunately, my '57 developed a mechanical issue at the last minute and the part I needed was back ordered, so I drove a non-Tri Five, but it was still great.
