Anyone going to race this Sunday?
I'm planning on participating and my Dad is flying in to run the '57 again.
TW, I'm hoping that you'll be spearheading team DC's effort this weekend. |

Yep, I'll be there. It will be great to see your dad again. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |

Thanks; those are some really good photos. I need to order the one of me without my helmet. I forgot it in the trailer and did not want to walk back, being an old guy! BTW it's a whole new experience driving a drag car without the helmet after all these years of racing. It really reminded me of back in 1969 in the '57 with the 396/375. Pretty awesome experience reminder. Not recommended for you young chaps in today's wicked cars. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |

A brief finale on the race. I believe the club garnered 8 points today with 4 entries. Then further rounds were accomplished in the consolation race later, but no points are given for the consolation. Jim B's dad, Ed was driving the '57. Jim in his '37. Kenneth in his blue '56. Yours truly in the helmetless driver car. We had a blast today. Cool weather and no mechanical problems. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |
