Hello,
I'm new to the club and will be sending off my membership application this week. Bill and Diane Preston have been very gracious and shown me around their two cars and nice shop. They've said a lot of good things about the club.
I have been looking for something local for some time without much success. Unfortunately, my 4-cyl. truck isn't capable of pulling too heavy of a load so I'm sorta limited to the DFW area. This will be my first restoration attempt so I want something that needs work but not something I'll get in over my head with.
I'm not too picky as long as it's a car/truck with potential. Truck-wise, I'd definitely prefer a '47-'54 Chevy or GMC. I just like the look a bunch. Car-wise, I don't know enough about the different GM models to really know what I want.
If you see or know of something promising, please drop me a line.
Jeff
