***Looks like it's going to be a great day tomorrow, see you at 9:00
Marv C.
***Update*** 9/13/2016 5:30
Due to weather concerns and scheduling difficulties, we've had to change
our lunch location to The Green Pickle in Glen Rose, famous for their burgers and more plus a beer garden.
The driving route will be the same, the lunch destination has moved.
Very reasonable prices, too.
Also, watch here for any weather related updates.
We’ll meet at Red Neck Heaven, 701 N Watson Rd (360), Arlington at 9:00 a.m. (9:30 departure) and make a slow drive south through the scenic country side, with rest stops along the way.
The Green Pickle is the highest rated restaurant in Glen Rose with a menu bound to please all of us.
If you have any questions, PM me here or call me at home, Nine72/262/Five632.
Updates on this event will be posted here.

***** Clarification on the menu. Burgers will NOT be available on the buffet and there will NO ordering from the daily menu. My mistake.
So the complete buffet offerings will be:
Catfish, Home Made Meatloaf, Coleslaw, Mashed Potatoes, Soup, Angel Food Cake.
Drinks (tea, coffee, soda, juice, water) included.

Great event today with the 'Cruisin for Calories' event thanks to the efforts of Marvin Cowden. Weather was nice and warm, no rain and a great drive! More photos soon on the website but here are a couple of teasers!
The one of the bridge is the Brazos Point Bridge that goes over the Brazos River in Johnson County, a great stop for the group, this bridge was built in 1914 for horses and wagons, used for cars later but was too narrow for two way traffic eventually and it became a one lane bridge where the first to the bridge got to cross as it just wasn't wide enough for two cars. Eventually it was replaced in 2000 with a new bridge next to it, but remains as a pedestrian bridge. It was one of several highlights, which of course included some great burgers at the Green Pickle and ice cream treats at the Shoo Fly! Make plans next year to join us on these memorable cruises that the DACC organizes! Again big thanks to Marvin for setting this up for us!
