It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Burton, a longtime club member and familiar face in the world of '55-'57 Chevys. Kenneth had been battling health issues for several years, waiting on a match for a kidney but a massive heart attack claimed him on Oct 23rd. Kenneth's involvement with the club dates back to the very early days and he was also active in the former Cowtown Classic Chevy Club that was based in Ft Worth. Kenneth was a '56 Chevy guy, but one of his most unusual cars he built was a '55 Bel Air 4 door hardtop that looked like a perfect factory produced car (Chevrolet never made '55 4 door hardtops!). But it was a '56 Chevy that kept him active and it was a show and go car! Just after he finished it, his '56 was a March 2016 Feature Car, see it featured here -

Ken was in the process of putting a 'better motor' in the '56 and he most recently attended the Dallas Tri Five Chevy Show last month at Reliable Chevrolet. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends, he will be missed by many.

We will miss Ken so very much. He taught Jim and I so much about cars, drag racing and life! He was always such a pleasure to be around.

Perhaps any arrangements could be passed on to us that knew Kenneth. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |
