Registrations are coming in steadily. I expect them to get even heavier
as the April 1 Pre-registration deadline approaches.

After April 1 it costs $15 more and you have to buy your own
T-shirt and also miss out
on the drawing for the free hotel rooms.

We have about 80 entries from all over Texas with the Houston
and Austin clubs very well represented. Also have entries from
Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Alabama. We'll probably
have 120 pre-registered.

I expect another 30 or so to register after April 1 or at the event.

It's going to be a great time!!!

Some of this will be off topic, sorry. David, I saw on Chevytalk.com's roll call you said may be you would come to the LSCC? What's up with that? Just kidding.

I have been wondering:Jim have you finished your disk brake conversion yet? I would like to make disk brakes my next upgrade. It's a big job that kinda of gives me pause. I would like to see how it worked out with you.

I am putting on new tie rods this week. Barring no unseen problems I look forward to the tour to Athens.

Alan

I'm going. Since my car will not quite be ready, I'm am going to offer my van stocked with tools, as a mobile repair station, in the unlikely event that anyone has any problems. Also, if anyone has a car hauler trailer, I can have a trailer in tow, just in case. Also, since I only live about 8 miles from the hotel, anyone is welcome to use my shop during the weekend for more serious repairs.
Alan, I put disc brakes on my 57, and it wasn't too much to it. It's all just bolt on parts. I would suggest doing the brakes and tie rods at the same time since both are going to need the front wheels aligned afterward.

Thanks for the info Don. It looks like the hardest part of the brake upgrade is paying for it. I need to get busy and sell more on Ebay to pay for my car habit.

if you are in the Show Judging competition, either having a car judged or participating as a judge.. this meeting is required ... all details of the Judging will be reviewed and everyone will have a chance to ask questions and here the same answers, this is standard for this type of event ...
