I forgot to post pics of my car I had sandblasted by "the sandblast man" in Gainesville. It turned out super. Bill Preston came over on Wednesday and helped me apply the epoxy primer.
Here is what it looked like on April 1, the day I bought it:

Did he really use sand? Usually I hear the old cars can't take sand unless it's on very low pressure, otherwise it will misshape the panels. OK for floorpan where the metal is thicker. Was he able to get underneath(floorpan, trunk, wheelwells, etc.) the car as well with it still sitting on its frame? He did the fenders and hood as well? The price is right enough. Gainesviile isn't that far for me either. I live in Hickory Creek, northside of Lewisville Lake Bridge. So, about 40-45 miles. My is a '56 2DR HDTP. I'm afraid what I'll find when it's stripped away but I've gotta do it. My chassis/drivetrain is almost finished. Thanks for the info! Ed Amos |
