Hi Jody: I have a Lakewood shield that will be available soon off my '57 along with the block plate and it has the brackets to mount the clutch torque shaft. It is also drilled for side mounts. I also have a stock '57 bell housing in good shape, a little greasy though. I will only be home through August 31st, then out of town for two weeks. Larry; 972-960-1408 |

My recollection says the era bellhousing only works with the era starter. The newer and actually more powerful starters (if they are the long version) have a large housing casting about the bendix that won't allow the starter to fit into the old bellhousing.
My recommendation is to run a scattershield and the appropriate starter with any manual transmission. _________________ "A Classic Car is Not Aerodynamic" |
