I think I have over thought this. I have a 383 and a B&M th350. Do I set initial timing at 1,000 rpm or 800 like it is in drive? Also I am going for 14 to 16 with 36 total. Will a 16 give me more initial power? cam is 228/234 @ .5 about 500 lift at 110. power band is 2,600-6,100.

It is 1000 the curve does not start untill 1000. 16 does give more power.
