Tagging on to David's earlier note as of this post there are remaining 3 drag race events the club can support. The next is Sunday September 9th at Redline Raceway in Royce City, just off IH30 East of Dallas.
These events are not abusive to your car! The only folks that have problems at these events are the ones that bring a potential problem with them. Nothing different here from entering the freeway ramp at standing start. You will only need a seatbelt.
All that is required is to pull up to the starting line and mash the gas on green, your automatic transmission does the rest for the next 660 feet.
Any one interested? Newbies will get mucho help from the club members.
