Any news about the SHRA Temple event? I know Jim had a night that didn't go as usual in Old School No Electronics, yet he was still able to maintain first place in the points race(?) David's dragster had the fastest qualifying ET, but faced traction issues in eliminations. How did Jim do in the Electronics class and how did our other club members do with their racing efforts? Is it true SHRA has cash($$$) payout for winners?

J Baughan didn't have the event he wanted in Old School No Electronics, with over 30 cars racing at Temple it was going to be a battle. Jim won the last two events (and won over $700!), and that gave him a commanding lead in points for that class. However in Temple he went out in Round 1 but regardless still has a pretty good lead after Temple with 53 points over 2nd place. With one race left for his class that will take place in Denton on Oct 31 Halloween, Jim will be needing to only win a round or two at the most to secure his first SHRA championship and the really nice trophy and leather jacket that comes with that along with MORE CASH!

and you can follow along with my blog on results for our dragster in the 'Misc' section of the chat board .. bottom line after Temple we are tied for 1st place with two events to go! ugggg!!! the drama ...
