This should be a well attended event, looking for a big 'Tri Five' turnout! The 'DACC Chefs' will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for the club racers and spectators so this will be an event to attend! If you have never raced, plenty of club folks will be on hand to teach you the ropes, if you do race then be at this one to get Team DC points! Gates open at 8AM and cars will be teched then two time trial runs allowed with eliminations in all classes beginning around noon. There are classes for all cars - you do not have to be part of the quick and fast crowd to do well! Fees are $30 for car and driver or if you wish to just watch then $12 each. Look for Tom Walker's white enclosed trailer and '57 Bel Air in the pits as that is where we will all pit together at.

Okay, I'll be testing an old manifold/carb set-up on my '57. I'm interested to see what I can get out of an original old factory stock dual quad set-up 283CID/270HP intake and vintage WCFB carb set on my 350 cid motor. This is the first outing without any testing so I'm going to be first out testing to the see what it gives in the quarter mile on the old 3700 pound '57. Should be fun.

If things hold as planned we should be there. Don't know how much we'll run, but we'll be there to hang out and cheer. Hope the weather holds.

... congrats to our racers that made it out for Race #3 at the Motorplex .. the best performance in our group was James Carson (above) taking his '57 into Round 3 before being eliminated in his class, Tom Walker and Larry Epperson got wins in Round 1 before being eliminated and Greg Hedum and Larry Rollow fell in Round 1, a big thanks to Larry Epperson for bringing out his grill so that the DACC group didn't go hungry and for photos from the event click on
