time is running out.. the promotion has been very successful for Chevrolet..
DETROIT - General Motors Corp.'s sales soared 41 percent in June to its highest monthly total in nearly 19 years thanks to a heavily promoted discount that allowed customers to buy cars and trucks at the employee rate, new sales figures show. GM, the world's biggest automaker, said June amounted to its best month since September 1986. The boom was driven by record truck sales, which increased 69 percent. The Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup led the industry as its sales more than doubled, GM said. "We see this as an indication that America's desire for trucks and SUVs is still a strong force in the marketplace," GM vice president of marketing Mark LaNeve said. GM sales for the first six months of the year rose 2.7 percent. Its truck sales rose 6.3 percent; car sales fell 2.3 percent. GM included all vehicles in the discount plan except the Chevrolet Corvette and GMC medium-duty trucks. The discount, scheduled to run through Tuesday, saves buyers about 3 percent to 4 percent off the dealer invoice price. |

GM SALE CONTINUES TO AUGUST 1st!
General Motors Corp., in an effort to keep the momentum humming after blowout sales for June, is bringing back its employee-discount incentive program, the world's biggest automaker said Tuesday.
From July 6 to August 1, customers buying a new 2005 General Motors car or truck will pay the same price as GM employees. The deal works with other rebates currently available but doesn't cover the Chevy Corvette, Pontiac GTO or medium-duty trucks.
"We were really pleased by the consumer and dealer response," said Pete Gerosa, vice president of GM North America. "Consumers told us that the simplicity and transparency of the program along with the clearly compelling employee price is a great idea." |

Reliable DACC discount continues to Sept 6 to match GM plan ...
GM Reverses On Discounts; Now Good Through Labor Day
General Motors will offer its employee discounts through the Labor Day weekend after it initially had decided to end the program, the Detroit News reports. The company said on Tuesday, despite strong sales again in July, that it would offer employee discounts on its 2005 models through Sept. 6, the same date Ford Motor Company has announced for the end of its own similar program. Unlike Ford, GM is not offering the plan on its new 2006 models. GM’s sales rose 47 percent in June thanks to the offering, which has shrunk its inventories of unsold 2005 vehicles to a two-week supply, the News adds. |

Continues to Sept 30th-Reliable Chevrolet/DACC $250 off that
DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors Corp. will extend its employee-pricing discount plan on select 2005 models until Sept. 30, a spokeswoman said Thursday.
The world's biggest automaker also plans to apply the discount to select 2006 full-size trucks and sport utility vehicles, said spokeswoman Brenda Rios. The program lets customers buy vehicles at the employee rate. |
