How do you tell a seamless frame from a seamed framed?
My right rear shock broke thru in the trunk area sometime
on the fall foliage tour and I'm seriously considering installing
a tubular shock support cross member with new shocks.

A 2 piece or seamed frame will have weld where the 2 C channels are welded together along the length of the frame on the top and bottom. A seamless frame is a box without any welding along the bottom of the frame. This is a seamed frame with my homemade shock bar.

Don - thats a nice looking shock bar you crafted. It looks like you welded the shock mount to the frame which assess as preferential.
I may have a shock bar on hand pending i don't use it to achieve an inch lower drop of the rear of the Handyman. If not they are reasonably inexpensive to buy.
