***The restaurant DOES NOT take AMEX***
On September 19, 2015, we’ll meet in South East Dallas for a slow cruise heading East to enjoy a unique dining experience at the Tara Vineyard and Winery.
Meet at the South East corner of US175 and S Woody Road in South East Dallas. That is 2 ½ miles east of 635/I20 on 175 at 9:30 for a 10:00 departure.
There is a public storage facility there with lots of parking.
In the past, our cruises have stopped and eaten at what many would consider basic, inexpensive establishments. With this outing we are going to experience the other end of the food spectrum.
The Cellar Door Restaurant at the winery features locally raised, grass fed beef that is hand selected and cut for the finest steaks. The fare offered includes soups, salads and burgers to fresh pastas, steaks and sea food. They grow all of their own vegetables and herbs as well as grapes for their award winning wines, all enjoyed in a relaxed environment. Shorts and sandals are welcomed.
If you enjoy fine dining, this is one meal you won’t want to miss.
Send Marv Cowden a PM or call me at 972-262-5632 if you have any questions.
To insure that all diners are served in a timely manner, the chef has prepared the following menu for our gathering:
First Course:
Caesar Salad
Romaine tossed with our house made Caesar dressing, croutons, and parmesan
OR
Soup of the Day
A cup of our house made soup of the day
Main Course:
Handcut Filet ($48 )
An 8 oz filet mignon, grilled to perfection and served on a bed of smashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, topped with composite butter
OR
Chicken Chimichurri ($29)
Grilled chicken marinated in a housemade parsley and oregano sauce , served with couscous and seasonal vegetables
OR
Blue Cheese Bacon Burger ($25)
Local beef grilled to perfection, served on a grilled jalapeno brioche bun with chipotle mayonnaise, and your choice of fries, mixed greens, or a cup of soup
OR
Stagecoach Marinara Pasta ($25)
House made marinara sauce cooked with a full bottle of our signature Stagecoach wine
Dessert:
Tara’s New York Style Cheesecake - Creamy New York Style Cheesecake served with a raspberry drizzle and whipped cream _________________ I'm addicted to brake fluid but I can stop anytime I want.

Marv,
We will be going... We will meet you at Woody Rd... Is there any place in particular that you will be off of that exit? _________________ Thanks,

Yes, meet at the South East corner of 175 and South Woody Rd. There is an old public storage building there with lots of parking.
Sorry, I didn't put it in my original posting.
Thanks for catching that, Pat. _________________ I'm addicted to brake fluid but I can stop anytime I want. |
