Who's going to the show? I know Crishana and I are in. We plan to get a room at the hotel on Thursday / Friday night.. Anyone going to stay out at the speedway too?

We'll let you.
I'll be there, but I live too close to the speedway to "Get a Room". |

For all club members who registered to be in the DACC Display - the confirmation letters that were suppose to be sent out by Goodguys to you did not go, but regardless all you need to do is go to the event Registration area at the Marriott across from TMS, tell them you are part of the DACC club display and your name is on the list submitted to them and they will check you off and give you your credentials. Find the DACC display inside the show, not sure where that is but it should be easy to find. _________________ In My Garage -

Guys,
I went by the TMS Marriott this am to pick up my GG tickets. When I asked where the DACC group was supposed to park....they showed me a map, with an X indicating our designated parking area to be in the far end of the same lot where they have the autocross course. Thinking this had to be a mistake, I asked the gal if she was sure....and she told me she got the map from a GG rep, who had drawn the X on the map himself.
If any of you have been to GG before....you know that lot is not an ideal spot...in fact, its about as far away from the main lot as you can be.

I contacted the Goodguys Rep I am dealing with, Harry Daviess, VP of Event Ops, he stated it was a good location for Saturday, close to bands etc. SO .. I don't know as I have never attended a Goodguys event and I am no familiar with the layouts and flow. Hopefully it will be ok. I was told before committing to all this that we would get the VIP treatment. Time will tell.
Just be sure to ask at the registration desk so you don't get lost! _________________ In My Garage -

another update..
for those that will be attending Friday, Harry will visit with our members there and basically find out from the group where they want to be, near the front OR back in the special exhibit area... whichever the group decides, then he will save us that spot for Saturday when the largest attendance will be taking place .. hope that works, and be sure to thank Harry and the Goodguys folks for recognizing us for our 40th Anniversary! _________________ In My Garage -

I was out at Good Guys this morning. It wasn't raining too hard.
Our designated parking area IS NOT down by the autocross like we were told. It's right up front, next to the main entrance, just a little before you get to the concession area. It's a good location with lots of visibility.
Hope the weather clears tomorrow and everyone comes on out. |

Goodguys rep said to arrive early, it is hard for them to hold this spot as everyone packs in .. Patrick Briney is going to try to hold the space for everyone but the sooner you get there the more likely you will get to park with the group on Saturday!!! _________________ In My Garage -

In spite of a wet beginning, the DACC display of '55-'57 Chevys turned out great at Goodguys, we received lots of visitors and compliments on the group display! THANKS to all who came out to support the club in this effort, and thanks to Goodguys for recognizing our club's 40th Anniversary! More photos soon on the club website!
