I tried that years ago, didn't work for me. I had to get a acetylene torch to get enough heat to get the lugs nuts off.
I may be wrong, but looks fake to me. Nothin' is ever that easy, in my experiences anyway.

I just tried the wax trick on the rusted nuts holding the front suspension together on my 56. I used a heat gun to heat the nut and melted wax on the threads. It worked supprisingly well.
From the looks of the bushings, the fasteners haven't been touched since 1956 and they all came off without any excess fource. I tried waxing one nut on the idler arm bracket and left the other one rusted and it took a lot more force to break the rusted one loose and then it groaned taking it the rest of the way off. The waxed on came right off. |
